Newsletter, June 2025

Click June 2025 to read our June news from First Pres.  Our most exciting news this month is our return to worship in our historic Sanctuary after almost a two-year hiatus during which our antiquated elevator was replaced and the Sanctuary was spruced up with a new coat of paint, etc.

  • We will return to the Sanctuary on Pentecost Sunday, June 8, with special music from Gary Winder on clarinet.  We will say good-by to Matthew and Sora Shepard with brunch to immediately follow worship.
  • Join us in wishing Harvey Hodges a happy 100th on June 28.  Send a card if nothing else to Havey at 401 Burwash Avenue #159, Savoy, IL 61874.
  • Coffee with Beth moves to Wednesdays in June from 10 am to noon at Espresso Royale at Robeson at the Crossing.
  • Interested in traveling to Cuba in 2026?  Sign up for the Cuba Study (a prerequisite for the trip) August 21-September 22.
  • Ngoma African Arts Festival June 27 and 28…read issue for more info.
  • Throughout June our Outreach Team is sponsoring “Because You Matter” Acts of Kindness.  Pick up a card(s) and suggestion sheet from the Welcome Center or church office and see how you can participate.

That and more in this June issue.
