  • Newly renovated kitchen has passed inspection by Board of Health!
  • Chancel Choir plans for Easter and Spring Music Sunday.
  • Mission Updates including donations for Ukraine and the upcoming One Great Hour of Sharing offering.
  • Dinners for One Wednesday, April 6, and Wednesday, April 13.  Times vary and reservations are required.
  • News from the Environmental Team including the Hazardous Waste Collection at State Farm Center on Saturday, April 9.
  • CYF has a fundraiser kicking off April 1 (no fooling)!  Sunday School classes are back in-person and looking for volunteers.

Newsletter, March 2022

Click to see the March 2022 from First Presbyterian Church in Champaign, Illinois.  March is in like a lion at the church with an Ash Wednesday Service on March 2.  Included in this newsletter…

  • Ash Wednesday service with imposition of ashes Wednesday, March 2, at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary;
  • Sunday, March 6, we celebrate the Gifts of Women with women leading the worship, and installation and ordination of new officers.  Annual Congregational meeting follows.
  • Bach Concerts continue on Wednesdays, March 9 and 30, at noon in the Sanctuary.
  • Chancel Choir and Bell Choir are back in full swing with rehearsals on Wednesday evenings.
  • Two new small groups begin this week…”Dinners for One” on Wednesday, March 2, at 11:30 am in Centennial Hall or Wednesday, March 9, at 5 pm at Biaggi’s.  RSVP to church office.
  • Youth are back meeting each week for Sunday School!

Newsletter, February 2022

Click to see the February 2022 from the First Presbyterian Church of Champaign.  While February is a short month, it is full of lots of exciting things happening at the church!
  • See how you can help support CU at Home and their annual fundraiser One Winter Night on Friday, February 4.
  • Adult Sunday School resumes on Sunday, February 6, with Dave Bauer leading the discussion on “Paul, Human Nature and Faith.”
  • U of I Choral Department will be presenting Bach concerts in our Sanctuary at noon on February 16 and 23.  Free and open to the public so invite your neighbors!  Masks required.
  • John McCutcheon comes to town on Sunday, February 20, at 2 pm for another free concert in our Sanctuary.  Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test required as well as face masks.

In an effort to publish the monthly newsletter earlier each month, the deadline has now changed to the 3rd Monday of the month preceding the issue.  February 2022’s deadline is Monday, January 17.
